Butchery service

Good morning
I have been a butcher for over 25 years . Which up until COVID had been a great job.

the general trend in dealing with the public has sickened me with the greed and self entitlement that people seem to have now.

recently I have started cutting up personal lambs for farmers that have been injured while transporting for a nominal fee. I am just putting out this post to gauge whether there is a market for this kind of thing and if I could make enough money doing so.

the bottom line is I love butchering but I’m getting sick of the people I’m selling the meat to
Any of the local farmers I deal with are good honest hardworking people and no bulls**t excuse the pun I would appreciate any feed back
Thanks BB

Cant imagine that this is legal, assuming they’re killed on farm and intended for human consumption.

As I understand it, home kill must be done and butchered by the owner and only eaten by immediate family.
If it's not slaughtered in a registered abattoir you can't sell it, but I don't think it matters who does it. Surely the better trained, the better.

Give the lad a chance. Be only asked the question this morning. If he's any good he'll be spending bis day working in a food premises with no phone by his side . . .
. . and will come back later to tell us which part of the country he's in.
