So that's a no then. Was just my interpretation, DEFRA will have details of assured farms and can carry out some basic compliance checks using information shared with assurance bodies.

I was reading it that if you’re assured then you are less likely to get a cross compliance or other SFP inspection as DEFRA can see what standards you are already being assessed for?

Do we sign up to have our information shared by Red Tractor? I think not and if they do share or sell information then they surely break GDPR rules. Is RT spiling out to others individual farm information . They should have to get farms permission to spilout farm information. What's this law unto them selves.
I think they will use it to pay for the animal welfare etc bit of elmsWon't it be unfair that we (UK) are going to have to jump through all these schemes and produce/operate to increasingly higher standards, yet they're more than happy to run off with some other country who has worse standards than us and sign a free trade deal with their imported products having no tariffs?!
There is , anecdotally .There doesn't seem to be any evidence to support that claim.
I am sure this is what Denmark have been doing for years. You can’t just buy or take over the family farm without what I believe they call a “green certificate” essentially a good grounding in farming and business training tooThat's how I read it, if you want a subsidy/elms then you will have to be assured, eventually leading to needing formal agriculture qualifications and a licence to farm.
Tesco aligned milk producers are already doing it . Actually most dairy farmers are having to do RT to exist. The problem with most of these certification schemes is that eventually they never are truly voluntary. They are designed to evolve become "the standard" which has to be met in order to sell your produce and before you know it, your business ends up being run by other people.
A strong union should be fighting against such schemes, not dreaming them up.

Bet it’s in the small printDo we sign up to have our information shared by Red Tractor? I think not and if they do share or sell information then they surely break GDPR rules.
All it takes is for 95 % of dairy farmers to tell the buyers they wont be red tractor anymore, the dairy companies have no business without milk, those running these businesses only care about their salaries and pensions if their businesses finish they lose out, it just takes some unity, just like when the mmb finished.Nearly all milk producers have to be rt.
