Case CX100

I have chance of a Case CX100 (Landsman special?)

7500 hrs ish.

It has a Quicke loader.

I'm debating about getting it to 'get me through' until something else comes along. Main reason been is that its not a huge amount more than what a new loader is for the MX135.

It will purely be used as a loader - moving silage / straw. Odd bit of mucking out.

Are these Perkins engines? What are they like for reliability / power / common faults / road work.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received. Thanks, Joe

Great all rounders, generally very reliable tractors.
One weak point is neutral switches on gearbox top cover, part which fail at some point from every CX.Easy to replace through floor panel.
Clutch became heavy if worn, smooth and light to use when OK. If not think about loader, one of easiest tractors to replace clutch.
TA switch on gearlever can fail sometimes.
If you find good example, just go on.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
