In a way, that's good because exporting is usually a sign of excess product. Also export is an easy way to increase business but can be fraught with problems, especially regulatory. Expansion can also lead to quality control problems. But I will keep a lookout, Things may change.

Into the grocery store last week, checking out cheeses with the grandson. The shelves are getting a little less cluttered so it would seem imports are slowing down at the moment.

We had a go at a couple Irish cheeeses, the British cheeses were almost all cleaned off the shelf. One in the shape of a shamrock from Ford Farms which the lad devoured in little time and another from KerryGold called Dubliner. Both quite nice but very different from each other. Also a noticible difference from British cheddar.

The likeable list continues to grow, I guess.

It's been a while lads, but there hasn't really been much to talk about. The lady at the deli was telling me, a couple weeks ago, they are still having trouble getting product from "across the pond", due mostly to COVID I imagine. They are managing to keep a fair selection of Coombe Castle and Wookey Hole and wets Country on the shelf for the most part, but everything else is hit or miss.

Anyway, I made a rare trip into Costco last week with a friend who is a member. Wandering through their cheese section, imagine my surprise to see Wyke on the shelf. Apparently it is being imported by Saputo. Are they involved with Wyke? They also had a Scottish cheese, Old Edinburgh. I picked both up for a taste, especially as it had been suggested I try the Wyke. The sidekick prefers the Wyke to the Scottish.

That could also be part of the problem, I'm not sure. I will add Kingdom to my list of cheeses to keep an eye out for. Thanks for the referral.
