Just got all the bits together to fit a 40.70 loader to a tractor and then realised ive seven pipes ( 3 of these go to the seperate valve block mounted to the boom itself) am i assuming the third one is a relief valve to stop overloading the boom? If so should this be one way valved back into the return? or into the back end?

if anyone has any weld on brackets to suit this loader kicking round in your shed id be interested as i need 5 sets.

Cheers C H.

It’s from the relife valve on the crowd ram so thet the loader does not pull itself apart if you happen to lift it from the bottom with bucket crowded over etc. It’s needs plumbing back into tractor oil tank in the most un restriced way possible

Thankyou, it’s only a smaller pipe so return to tank as it won’t be much oil if it is. It was suggested it was an early soft ride.

It will have its own spool block. I’ve a new joystick with an electro change over valve for the third service on the joystick. Was wondering if I plumbed a non return valve into the return line for this.

Open centre tractor? If so it will have a feed, carry over and return to tank line. You could use the return to tank as that will only be carrying any oil if a PRV opens.

Yes on an 885xl case tractor, the prv valve would need routing somehow into the back end,
will you need a different spool end plate for your IH? That’s how I remember doing them although in essence you only need to cut into the line from pump to spool or spool onwards. IIRC there a bung on the bottom R/H side just forward of the trumpet

We’ve got a loader fitted at present but it’s just flimsy and it’s going to end in tears so we have a valve block on it already, but the prv in this loader was throwing me.
