@Kidds - ha - yes, I've tried various things but the shovel I used is a big wide plasticy thing like people might use for clearing snow. I have enough experience of catching the shovel on the bag loops to have learnt to keep them out the way! That's a sure-fire way to turn the air blue :cyclops:
I was loading grain into the drill today by shovel, and was just thinking about how a loader tractor would be handy.

Sowed some spring rye today, as a bit of an experiment. We need some rain down here, it's been a dry month or so. If anyone out there is on the Kent / Sussex border, please can you organise a cricket match / tennis / morris dancing / wedding or any other British rain dance where people stand around outside dressed in white?

My 1971 Ford 3000 does a fair bit of work in the Summer. Mainly topping and muck spreading. I bought it 10 years ago, just after someone had restored it. Looks a bit shabby now but I've had very few problems and it's still going strong. My young helper is driving in both photos. He started when he was 13. Loves it!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
