Yeah i know that feeling it’s terrible.
Biggest surprise was the price of the parts, I have a fair list that included main castings, shafts, new front propshaft, clutch & flywheel came to under £2k
So fingers crossed she will live again
Not earning its keep anymore but does anyone know what it would be worth? Guy coming to see it this week he will be dismantling it

£200 would be plenty. Should have it down in a day. 2 persons, with a 12m telehandler,

Didn't you on the Cases, have to lift the backacter, then when it was nearly at the top try and keep the momentum going and push down on the lever and it would over center and lock tight, then you could put the locking pin through ?
it's been nearly 30 odd years since I was in my uncle's 580f so excuse me if my memory is a bit hazy.

Unfortunately this one doesn’t have the catch for the back actor. Just holes to line up and pass a bar through. Seen it done on YouTube though, it looks a bit violent, I think the secret is to have the rpms fairly high, not ticking over to lock it.

Yes, it also holds the doors shut aswell if it’s loaded pointing forward. Would be an unsecure load by Police or DVSA if a roof or roof hatch blew off
