Well that's me finished till spring got 20 acres of a 28 acre field drilled this morning . Now it's peeing down. So a 3rd of the farm spring corn for a 2nd year in a row. And only half the usual wheat.

I asked for spot price, took it to be November. Didn’t sell, just being nosey!

Sold chunk of my GRP1 for May, Skyfall £215 and Crusoe £219. I feel all the indicators mean GRP1 is easily going to hit £250 by harvest and feed £210, but volatility in currency and EU big unknowns?? Not risking selling any Harvest 2021, crop establishment average and some areas lost to flooding before it even came up.

Linking to another hot topic over the last few days, non assured wheat £182.

How to distribute the shortfall to Nov futures between 'it's the North and wheat isn't so scarce here', longish haul to suitable home and n/a penalty is tricky, but food for thought, as is being able to book legal (as I prefer to describe it) wheat at £160 for Nov 21.
