What did you get?Me to
I did 8 loads harvest 22 malting barley today @ £190/t if that's my lowest price I'll be a happy bunny.
What did you get?Me to
Up to £190 x for November now.Futures price = ex farm up here.
So you're growing less milling wheat now ? or any .all sold now - averaged well over £200 - last lot went at 213 feed IIRC lowest sold was £188 back in October i think. Milling is over £230
............ just a pitty we didn’t have half as much to sell as usual so not a year to get excited about , more damage limitation
Nothing sold for h21 yet
May £194 ex feed wheat Kent, £175 - £183 Nov 21So what’s been offered by the trade today?
So you're growing less milling wheat now ? or any .
If we get rain , futures will drop sharply imo
me thinks you are looking too deep i just went on how full the shed was or rather wasnt ,mindst you we decided to cut back on the number of store lambs and did something else with the money not a disaster but would have been better with the lambsYes. I’ve not changed the strategy as the previous averages were good and we’ve got fairly good advice from the merchant we work with. In November 2020 we were looking at tariffs and a No Deal scenario. The marketing strategy was driven by that.
How times change.
Has it ever been possible to sell an unharvested feed wheat crop for >200? I imagine this could be done now for May 22 in the right part of the country.
