I was told by a friend who lived next door to the field in question but i guess it could have been a forage harvester but the person who told me works in agriculture so id like to think she knows the differanceSurely before mentioning "certain" farmers starting you should be certain they have started ?
Are you certain you can tell the difference between a combine and a forager ?
I am certain that a certain farmers combine still sits in a certain shed, and that he has certainly had certain fields at Morley foraged
Yes. It's awful here. Not enough sun and too much rain.I cut some Carat Winter Barley yesterday (started @15.3 % finished at 13.9%) and sample is poor and yield not good. The rooks and pigeons have now moved onto the spring barley! The companion crop of blackgrass exceeded all expectations !!!!!! unlike @Clive the rain has really hurt this crop badly, back in April it looked quite good.
whats the rush !Got my combine out and going today, to take it to the dealer for its winter service.
Spoke to farm manager yesterday there planning on whole cropping some wheat next week and hopefully starting combining barley next week also. Rape still green underneath canopy.Kemble farms OSR all been sprayed, turning well, guess they'll be off as soon as it's dry enough. A lot of very flat winter barley about too. Will spray off my OSR this weekend.
whats the rush !
