Compost Tea

1. Are there any commercially available to put through a Sprayer that make a visible difference to growth?
2. Can they replace the organisms which would be in FYM or Compost?
3. How do I apply FYM without applying FYM? I'd like to apply 10lits/ha not 10t/ha?? Am I making any sense?

1. Compost tea implies brewing. I don't think anyone in the UK offers it as a service. Maybe Nick Padwick may at some point. We have results with out product, but it seems to be dependent on soil organic matter and the use of chemicals. When there are no other disturbances, then it always outperforms naked control. Needs organic inputs though to maximise growth. At least in year one.
2. Our product is a concentrated extract from an inoculation grade compost, so yes.
3. I don't think you can. You'd need to extract the nutrition and concentrate it. That's the allure of synthetic ferts. No volume to muck about with. Pardon the pun...

Is the compost from the UK or is it traceable?

The decline takes about a week. We know that we can keep them alive for much longer, but we've not yet been able to do it outside the lab. I need some free time to push that further. In the lab we've kept them alive for 200 days.
