Cost to build a house

sky is the limit really but 100k is possible with some diy and lateral thinking

there was a series “the 100k house”. george Clarke i think thats well worth watching

plot value usually 1/3 of the finished property value

if i was trying to do it cheap i would build a steel or timber frame building and fit it out as a house

Grand Designs house of the year was built like that last year and it was an amazing property for not a huge amount of £
That's exactly what I thinking. A decent size 3 bed house for 100k or less however that would have to be done either timber or steel frame if need be and do as much as I could myself to keep price down. Parents already own the plot so that wouldn't need paying for.
In the end as I already said I bought a house in the village not that long ago for not much more than the figure I had in my head. It's not as good a house as I could have built for the same money but this is mine and has no ties to the farm at all so will be easier for me to do something with in future and no one else can touch it which could have been a big problem if I'd built on land that I didn't own myself yet.

I thought of using a steel frame for our house, but it turns into an unnecessary cost, I expect cheapest would be standard block wall and render.

And just a Wendy house design, rather than hips and valleys on the roof.

Absolutely agree. Absolutely agree. A steel frame for the house will turn into an unnecessary cost. The cheapest and more reliable variant would be to make a standard block wall. Although I am well versed in drawings and don't see the point in 3D modeling. Pictures in the graphics program ArchiCAD 22 from softwaredeal.store are enough for me. The most important thing is correctly and ergonomically zone the space and pre-arrange furniture. But the design of the interior and decoration are decided during the construction because opinions and plans can change in the course of work.
