Countryfile tonight

It’s not a farming programme but a snippet of features about the countryside that more often than not doesn’t cover farming at all. It doesn’t really cover the countryside objectively either. More a shop window for the “environment” lobby most of the time. Should be called “Envirofile”
Finally found room for a Vet to voice her concerns about the lack of large animal vets, tonight, though.

I had the misfortune to see a re run of this programme this morning as I passed through…

The ‘farmer’ anchor, Adam Henson, was tagging a new calf, and then explained to his audience that the numbers on the tag referred to his farm / holding and the calf’s individual ID number. And passport, which was then all logged on a central BCMS data base.
He enhanced this to British Cattle Movement SOCIETY 😂

No correction to Service and no upgrade to CTS either. From that do we assume that Adam does not actually do the background work for his animals himself? Surely not. 🤔 😂😂😂

But I have just looked at the guide and Tom Heap investigates claims that by 2050 the UK could run out of water.

Good job we won't be producing food by then........!
Useless baastards!!
I can quite believe it, by then they will have run out of farmland to plant trees on and rewild, the only land left to plant will be that taken up by reservoirs.............let the water go, it’s not needed, we can get all the water we need from the tap.

Have NOT watched the bbc or countryfile in a long time!

If the UK runs out of water I presume flooding will be a thing of the past. Sounds like a reasonable exchange!
