Cover crop

Hi guys anyone know if this would be able to work stubble ground to put in a cover crop thanks

Spring tines not that strong, bit close together, and could block with straw IMO.
Other views may differ.....

I use a pigtail, and even had to remove a few tines from that to prevent blocking.

Could struggle in very hard dry conditions and become a straw rake as mentioned

I have a Howard bladed rotovator and an old Rae rototiller would one of these be better ?

What type of seed in the mix? Some need a bit of depth, some are happy on top, and a bit of soil dragged around them...

Basically depends on your soil type, if nice light soil that machine will work fine as long as not too much straw residue, but not so good on heavy land with chopped straw or long stubble

Soil is between both and the guy that combines it for me dose leave it high but last year I went over it with the topper wonder if I could scratch it with the Rae then go over with this ??

Very true it’s only rape and kale so just needs a scratch is what I have been told
