Hi I am deciding between the two manufacturers. Has anyone had any experience with either. Good or bad. They are both around the same price

Thanks

Thought there was a thread on here not long ago that people were fitting the pollock rope to cowcare systems. That should really answer the question.

Did the Pollock rep not join Cowcare systems not long ago so he has maybe taken the rope with him! Infact I think he was on here.

Yes, agreed, plan to park mine outside the shed to stop this.

The other problem with one-way scrapers is that they often drag huge amounts of muck/bedding backwards when retracting leaving you with piles of semi solid stuff which again means more hand tools. More expense I know but one freezing morning when you are trying to shovel up a heap of muck which has frozen solid you will thank me for pointing it out!

The Pollock Engineer has Joined Cowcare recently. I've had Will out few times to my scrapers and have since ordered 2passage of Cowcare off of Will because he's great Engineer and will only buy because of his experience and service alone speaks volumes and would recommend Will to anyone looking for scrapers.

Are you sure you don't have a vested interest? In 3 years of posting on here you’ve only ever posted about scraper systems. You have moaned about Cowcare scrapers and have removed them to replace with the “much superior” Pollock system, due to the brilliant salesman. And now you’ve moved back to cowcare as the brilliant salesman has moved to them?

We put in Pollock rope scrapers last year and would highly recommend them. We took out cowcare ropes dam things keep breaking the rope everything 5 months then gearboxes would break and bearings. Pollock ones been in over year now nothings went wrong. control panel is 2 buttons on/off reverse and a switch for hand or auto. Had them serviced there in summer. Little lad came out checked over pulleys an two and half hours he was £40 invoice for time

What can I say service Is key.. put it this way if I had £ for every time someone on here moaned about how awful Masseys are n won't buy again then they find out the head mechanic or salesman has moved on to New Holland how long before ur purchasing a new Holland about 70% of yous. Product is the product im after service n the lad provides that regardless.

We have both here, cowcare ones around 4 years and pollock in last winter. No hassles so far, pollock ones have a bit more in them and the scraper is heavier built than the cowcare one. Pollock ones were cheaper when we put the last ones in.

Happens all over the forum, I just find it insulting that these companies think farmers are such dumbarses that we won't realise they are making false posts. Reflects very badly on the companies that do it. Back on topic, have storth rope here and really pleased with them, here a lot of good comments about pollock from others.

In light of the comments above and it seems as if the poster that posted about fitting Pollock ropes to cowcare systems has since moved alliance to now promoting Cowcare systems I would make a point of fitting Pollock.
