We've just joined the farming forums as there are some interesting discussions round and about, and scanning through this one I noticed a mention of Precision milking which is now defunct, and has been reborn as Advance Milking (still Dan and Tom though).

@PREES if you're still struggling feel free to give us a shout for advice, there's more contact details on the website if you need them. We're happy to answer questions!

As for the discussion of dynamic testing, my advice is to make sure you know what you're getting for your money. There's no definition of a dynamic test (something as an industry we should get on top of) so it can vary wildly in what's covered and how useful the process is. We deliver a lot of training on the subject, so gradually more and more people are getting stuck in to the milking process, milk quality and parlour efficiency which is great as there are huge gains to be made.

I look forward to chatting with some of you!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
