Credit where it’s due.... UTV products

A short while ago I commented on another thread regarding the value for money of Martin’s UTV products, combination LED headlamps.
I was sceptical as to whether they were worth the price tag attached to them, so Martin kindly offered me a trial of the units to see for myself.

The pictures below show the output when fitted to my sprayer, in comparison to a halogen unit fitted to my JCB. Photos taken within a minute of each other, and the difference is staggering. In fairness, the Jcb headlights are brighter than the picture would suggest, but the same applies to the LED headlamps also.

Parked next to each other, it did not appear like the JCB lights were even on....

Needless to say, I am very impressed with these lights. It’s not the just output that is so impressive, the build quality and the presentation of the product is excellent. They are terrifically well presented, a quality box and neatly packaged within. Solid feel, and relevant fixings all create a very high standard of product.

One cannot dismiss that they are expensive, and the cost to fit out every machine on the farm makes them more than just an impulse purchase. However, I am a great believer in two things.
1, Buy once, and buy well - They are expensive, but they are brilliant and I do believe they are worth their price tag.
2, Give credit where it is due - Martin offered me these lights with no obligation, and I have written this completely off my own back in the belief that I must address my scepticism about this product and offer a rounded, impartial review based upon my experience.

I am sure that the rest of their products follow a similar level of quality and as such will no doubt be dealing with them more in the future.
Well done @UTV Products

Got to say i've been well impressed with the LED lights I got from UTV products as well, the older style headlights and a full set of worklights made my old 6810JD from the worst lit tractor on the farm to best by a country mile. Even impressed the boss enough that when lights start failing on the other tractors they will be replaced with LEDs.

UTV lights are definitely good. Got a pair on the roof of one tractor and they are noticeably better and clearer than the same wattage lamps as commonly found in tractor dealerships etc.

As I have stated before on similar threads, if I were using just one or two machines regularly after dark I would go for UTV lights, they are probably worth the extra cost. I believe that they are looking at a less expensive range of lamps, but until such a time there are more affordable LED lamps available off the shelf that I consider more than good enough for occasional use on other machines around the yard.
