HI, Trying to register some new calves but can't get onto the website - it's saying problems with the third party server (?). I know there were going to be a change of some sort on 1st April but, not being tech-savy, I'm not sure what it all means. Can anyone enlighten me or do I wait till Monday and ring the helpline (if anyone is there!)
TIA

Hi , I think you need a more modern computer, do you know what operating system you have ? As in windows vista? Windows 7?
My laptop was windows vista which I knew would no longer be excepted on government web sites so unfortunately I ve had to buy a new one.
There are good deals on Ebay for refurbished ones but in the end I bought a new desk top direct from Levono , which was more reasonable than I thought.

I've got a fairly high spec computer running Intel Core i7-6700CPU, 16GB Ram, Windows 10, 64-bit op system... I still can't login. I was on it a couple of days ago no bother. It'll be back up in no time (y)

followed all the instructions, right down to the end, then couldn't get on, as gateway number, and password were on auto save, and I didn't have a clue, bcms sent me that no, then next day, sent a temp password, no luck, but their computer brains, rang back, and got me on. I'm windows 10.

Thanks for the replies - I'll try again tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed. I REALLY don't want to have to buy a new computer, especially as I wouldn't be able to get my tech-bod of a friend to come and get me set up on it due to the lock-down.

Dear All

Regarding any kind of Cross Compliance, BCMS, record keeping or software management I I am impartially here to offer my 23 years of experience dealing with these matters. I advise my customers on a repeatedly daily basis with such issues and lots more. So feel free to ask me anything and if I don't know the answer I will tell you ! I am NOT a salesman and the service Farm Matters provides is extremely ethical, traditional and honest. So ask away. Yes of course we have our own software which can be downloaded as a free trial and we obviously would love more customers but if its not your thing then no problem I will still be happy to chat and chuck my opinions into the pot. So regarding your last post, its nothing to do with your computer BCMS always have the odd maintenance issue and migrate data from various databases on a nightly basis. If I had a pound for every time I had discussed CTS User ID,s and Passwords with farmers I would be a rich man and not ranting on this forum ! Honestly just ask away if I can help I will. If I cant I will wont talk !!**!!

as the majority of farmers were in the cwt, lb, inch, foot and acre era, many, including myself, while having leant to use a computer, and are fine, un-till it doesn't do, what we think it should, and then we haven't got a clue how to re-establish, the shaky alliance, we had before !
