If you look at the gumtree add ( david brown 2012 ) there is certainly a lever to the right of the dash but I dont think it is the Hydrashift, so long since I drove one I cant think what it is. Others on here will know though.
I would like to run it up specifically to check the hydraulics work properly even if gear box is good.
They were generally reliable tractors if the gearbox oil was kept clean

Some levity needed

I spotted this on Facebook but she's stood in front of the numbers, anybody got any idea what the model number is (the tractor not the model)

Not hydrashift, the lever is the hand throttle, the knob on the side is the light switch and horn.

From the said ad, definitely a syncro.

Does look tidy, but a bit pricey for my liking especially as it has no back windows, stabilisers and wrong lights

WTF do you think we are? Bloody clairvoyants? Mystics? What could you tell from your pictures, which now turn out to be from an advertisement? Sod all, that's what, so how do you expect anyone else to be able to do the work for you, based on bugger-all but tiny black photos of an ad you've seen. And you expect US to expand the photos for you to show a bigger fuzzy blob. Do you want jam on top as well?

PS
I've little patience with entitled people who expect others to run around for them and give lip if it isn't what they want to hear. FO and do your own research work.
Sorry you feel that way, I only asked for help which you gladly gave and I appreciate that. No need to rant on like that, anyway once again thank you and to all the others that have contributed

Our 1394 has dry brakes, Maybe the hydrashift ones have wet brakes? Anyway I would definitely recommend a 1394 if you like browns and are looking for a bit more power. The turbo makes it a very perky little tractor also the red ones are bit more modern and nicer to drive
