Hello
Recently brought a K430 which didn’t have a service manual and have a question , where do you add oil to the backend as on the sight glass it is low. A picture of the service manual page would be useful

thanks

There are two versions, the standard with manual spool levers, and "profi" which has the multifunction armrest joystick on the seat and has electric spools.

The standard version has shared hydraulic and gearbox oil. You can fill it through the free flow return, or the filler. If you look to the right of the top link, the filler is at the top of the gearbox on the flat surface. It's a tight squeeze to get to it past the pipes and the electrical cables, and not the easiest to see in the first place! It's much easier to use the free flow return pipe.

The level should be checked with the arms fully down. They're usually filled to the top mark, not the middle "normal" level. Think that to get to the top, it's another 5l of oil

If it's the profi version, you haven't a choice, and must use the gearbox filler, as there is a separate tank for hydraulic oil

Use a bog standard UTTO universal oil (that's all Deutz branded stuff actually is, same as Deere back end oil).

Don't use a 15wSTOU. It's thicker which makes the lift arms drop very slowly, and makes the brakes squeal like a politician facing a salary cut.

If you're still unsure where the filler plug actually is, I'll post up some pictures.... But I'm not going outside to do it right now..... It's a bloody nasty snow storm out there 😱🤨

Thanks . It’s a agrotron with manual spool valves . I will have to have a look tomorrow to see if I can find it .then try and see if I can fill it without making a mess .A picture would be handy tomorrow if that’s possible. I’ve got some UTTO to put into it

Excuse the muck.... My 10 year old profiline hasn't had it's spring clean yet this year

Looking at the back, on the right below the spools, behind the pipes and the wiring, the filler is on the flat top of the gearbox. Point of my knife is above it in the photo

Flexible filler pipe like you get on a 10l can of adblue on a plastic funnel makes the job easier
