I have a 2018 2.0 ingenium 240hp. Tried to find something that ticks all of the same boxes but just couldn’t. I knew what I was letting myself in for as father has a d5 with the same engine and we’re waiting for JLR to confirm they’ll change the engine. It only had 16k miles on when I bought it and 2 oil changes in that time vs 19k recommended interval. I’m keeping to roughly every 10k.

7 seats, hugely practical and drives really well. With child seats in the rear can still get someone in the middle, which you’d struggle in an x3. Find the 10 inch screen which is car play compatible.

Test drove an x3. Not as spacious inside, transmission tunnel in the way in the back, 5 seats only and its dog ugly.

Only downside is very small fuel tank.

For balance- I ran an Evoque with the 2.0 Ingenium, 2017, for 120k miles in 3 years. Barely had a spanner on it. Stay on forums long enough, you'll find a scare story.

@chaffcutter There is one of those for sale in a garage at Baldock someone please buy it before my wife gets to it £24900
I know of a guy who's had 3 porsche cayenne and all of them had to have a new transfer box the last one had two, one at 13k and another at 33k. No towing .
And another guy has a macan it too has had a transfer box replaced. Superior German engineering is all in the marketing. If they're that good why dont they give a warranty that
Backs it up. 3 years only.
Kia ,hyundai, toyota. All offer much better warranty, but still porsche has the "image ".
