HM has spent his adult life giving unstinting support to working family farmers, and preserved huge tracts of landscape/communities.
Certainly round here things would be very different- and the poorer for it- if he had acted differently in his former role.

Is he a bit of a hippy? yes
Has he made a lot of money from renewables? yes
Do I agree with everything he says/does? of course not
Is he now intending to cash in from greenwash nonsense? very likely.
Does he understand the greenwash nonsense for what it actually is? can't say.
Does he care about 'us' working farmers?.........................more than you can imagine
