DO ANY COMPANIES TAKE CUSTOMERS , POTIENTIAL CUSTOMERS COMMENTS SERIOUS?

i ask this because as an example the PAINT QUALITY of JCB is just terrible and has been terrible for years, the product is not cheap or aimed at the budget end of the market ? anyone from JCB on here care to make any comments please ? as i do like buying and supporting the UKs companies, on the other hand the smaller but still long established family run MARSHALLs up in ABERDEEN have tried to change and improve their products to trie to suit customers wants and requirments?

No one seems to care.having tried to demo machinery or see machines working no one hardly ever bothers to come back to you.an exception to this is Clayton who kindly took me to a farm a few weeks ago to look at crops and chat to the farmer and had a call couple hours ago about seeing a drill working about 10 miles away today and currently just awaiting call to say it’s working and I’m off for a look.im sure other people I’ve spoke to since October must have machines working but heard nothing.i could post loads on this subject but I’m sure it won’t make any differance

JCB sell so much stuff it would make no difference. Other companies are more responsive to customer feedback. There are at least 3 threads I know of where major machinery names were discussed and enlightening comments flowed forth.

3 loadalls and 3 fastracs here. Modern Fastrac paint is fine all round. Loadalls the yellow paint is very good, just the black lets them down.

C19 is going to have such an effect on our and the world's economy that the effects of Brexit will probably be totally submerged for the next 5 years. We will probably see these effects manifesting themselves in the following 5 years so in the 30s we will know what we did.

The cabs used to be made for them I believe until new cab factory opened recently - the metal for the cabs was poorly prepared and powder coated I would think, so when the damp gets under it just flakes off, had the metal been properly cleaned, primed, and spray painted with modern suitable paints, it would be a different case, but like all suppliers to any large manufacturer they will be under very strict pricing - complaints about JCB Paint go back many many years - it is not a recent problem.

My day job is legal services and we do ask how we did, and what might be better. We do learn from this and it does help us improve. Our staff must be focussed on what the client wants, and when. Usually it is only the very pleased or very unhappy who take the time. We do care and read every one. We ask for google reviews and mostly they are good. Some of the bad ones come from our clients’ opponents so maybe that is really a compliment. With farm machines I do despair at times with how bad a design is.
I have moaned about the brightness of the array of little press buttons above the instrument binnacle when using our NH T6 DC in the dark. Today I heard there is a fix on its way because a number of users complained about it. Well done CNH.
Maybe some companies do listen, though the end point may be some way off.
On the JCB front we have a 2013 TM 220. It has been a bit costly to own recently but we just can’t say enough about how brilliant it is for us.
It seems well thought out and does its job so well.

I’ve only ever bought one brand new machine, a Multidrive M420.

It was shockingly unreliable. There was rust on it the day it was delivered and the seat was dirty. The glass had oily handprints on it and there was an oil leak from the hydraulic system.

The steps were bent and rusty and the hydraulic tank was cracked or poorly welded. They replaced both. Eventually. It took over a year for the tank to be replaced.

Whilst I can’t really fault the service from the Service Department, especially the fitters themselves, nobody else at Kellands, Alamo or whatever they call themselves this week gave a toss. Especially the bullcrapping salesman who unfortunately I saw selling sprayers for another company at LAMMA this year. He was spectacularly unwavered when I told him he had sold a spreader that wouldn’t spread lime to a lime spreading contractor.

If ever there was a company that really didn’t want to hear anything from their customers, they must surely rank as the best...or worst.

They manufacture a huge range of machinery but I shall avoid all of it at all costs.

As long as the factories are working to capacity, many companies don’t seem to care too much about complaints.

i can understand complaints if it a new machine,

ive got a 2006 machine and ive had to repaint the door, smallest crack to the black paint and rust gets in, however it not new,

also i forgive it as its a brilliant machine,. its the first ones with the jcb engine with over 7500 hours starts without fail and does not burn any oil, its great i know alot of people with fastracks and love them, compared to the manitious ive driven and worked on i think jcb are a premium, product.

different strokes for different folks but i rate them.
