From the brochure, but personally I'd have thought they would be better the other way around. If I had one I'd probably try a couple the other way and see if I could see a difference one way or the other.

Had a go earlier on some rape stubble on lightest land on the farm.ploughed for half an hour and saw rain coming in the distance, bit like a fog.went home and got combination and went back and drilled grand total of .47 ha.then the rain really started and been the same since.drilled all I’ve ploughed anyway.at least I’ve made a start on my wheat

To try and be positive but I ve just walked the dog exactly the same route as Monday over stubbles,DTS drilled rape and lightly disced in sewage cake ex osr fields and the difference is night and day. Now I m not saying its dry or drill conditions but with only 30 hrs or so of dry ish weather ( we did have a couple 5 minute showers) there is still a bit of hope that we might be able to go next week. That's after 178 mm of rain since 22 nd September however the next 3 days are forcast wet .

90mm or 900mm makes little difference, once the soil is at saturation it doesn't really get any wetter except for the wet spots that are not able to drain and become submerged.
