Dont worry, the highland show will bring the rain as usual.
In more ways than oneThat doesn’t look good
Actually it’s quite good for @Farmer Roy $$$$$$$.
On the contrary, i have 100 acres of hay to make, starting tomorrowNot a lot forecast for the next 10 days, depending where you live of course and temps into the low 30's next week, not great.

Yes maybe, but if i went to farm in Australia i would expect extremes as it is what you get on a regular basis. Most of the time over here the climate is kind to Agriculture so when we get a drought it is more noticeable and we are not prepared and are growing the wrong crops for the extremes.FFS - you softcock whinging whining pansies wouldn't know what had hit you or how to cope if you ever faced a REAL drought . . .
When the cactus start getting moisture stressed - then you can say it's a drought

yes, we are used to dry periods & extremes of temperature & moisture, but CACTUS dying due to moisture stress is NOT normal

Wheat dying due to the same reasons is not normal for here, I am unsure if we could even get a cactus to grow here, too wet/cold normally.yes, we are used to dry periods & extremes of temperature & moisture, but CACTUS dying due to moisture stress is NOT normal
