Rained heavily in Cartmel since we arrived yesterday for a weekend break. Sand bagging the pub and some houses .

Still as dry as a nuns chuff here. We've had bugger all for a very long while and it doesn't look like changing anytime soon.

It's that bad that we've now got three fields which we can't get the plough into the ground on, I know of one near by farmer shows running a subsoiler infront of all his ploughing just to be able to keep going.

Just been chatting to friend in the lakes said it wet very wet 4 inch rain last few days ,

Cars parked at Cartmel Racecourse . The runners doing the 80k ultra run, will get even wetter feet getting to them when they get back. What a day to run 50 miles over 12 hrs in the lakes.

I think it is very unfair that Wales and those of you in the North are taking all the rain.
We are now desperately dry again and the strong warm drying wind is just burning up what little grass there is.

Been digging the garden today and it is bone dry.
The worry is that there is absolutely no sign of any rain for the South East, we were forecast rain for tomorrow and Monday but that has been cancelled. There is nothing in the forecast for this month!!

Quite happy for those of you with too much water to send it over!
