He’s got a lot more rain than home. Was there Tuesday and it was green!! I may have to move 150 ewes there to ease pressure at home come October.

Our area is called "The Frying Pan of Devon". With good reason in a year like this.

Rob is in the middle of calving at the moment and the dry weather has been perfect for that, but they've been feeding silage for some time. I have 80 yearlings of his on some of my grass and they are just about OK.

Hopefully this weekend is wet and we will get a flush of grass at long last!

I’m surprised as we had just over 13mm. Forgot to tip out the gauge from previous nights.

That’s the second biggest 24 hour drop since April.

Still dusty here under the top 4 or 5 inches. Would like another 15 to 20mm to really get moisture back at depth.
