Has anyone (ladies) on here ever used dubarry boots or similar leather waterproof boots instead of wellies while milking cows or working in mucky yards.

Yeah have a pair but I don't wear them anymore. There cold damp and the most uncomfortable boots I've ever worn
I change the insoles in mine twice a day when I wear them. Agreed they’re not the best thing to run the 100m in!
I also only wear thin socks in them to stop my feet sweating as they are so warm.

I can't imagine dubarry boots would stand up to being wet in the parlour or in slurry in the yard. I've got Bekina steplites with steels and aigle neoprene wellies. The bekinas make my legs ache out of season if I am only milking a few times a week, if I wear them every day like I do in Spring they are fine. The aigles are lighter and more comfortable but I suspect the slurry will kill them pretty quick especially with leggings over the top.

Do your aigles not get very damp?

I think they would with leggings on, I don't usually milk in them but my legs were aching the other day so I swapped. They seemed damp around the ankles where the leggings touched, it somehow seeps in I think. They are usually my chuck on in a hurry wellies.
