In grassland I guess? Then probably MCPA or an MCPA based mix.

One that works, rather than the one that’s cheapest. For thistles, it’s a job to beat Thistlex for efficacy, but it’s far from the cheapest. MCPA is regularly posted as the chem of choice on here, but you will probably have to do it again next year, and the next, and...

Glyphosate is cheapest probably but not much else will survive around so no good for taking thistles out in grass as the grass goes to.

I guess ‘best value for money’ would indeed by glyphosate, put on through a (not such good value) weed wiper?

If it is in grass you want to use it, you’re restricted on what you can use if the grass is less than 1 year old.

Thistlex/Prevail is the one for Dandelion’s too.
Exactly what @GAM needs. If just this thistles and you want cheap MCPA would be the answer but for this job worth paying extra for the thistlex I’d say.

So many things you could use but way more info needed from you to start with. As above, cheapest could easily be eventually expensive.
