I thought the same.Got to laugh at the comments on this post. Don’t want to use a computer to do the books as too complicated but yet are happy to use a similar device be that phone or computer to go on here.
Two days ago.Haven't written a cheque in over 3 years
If I make a fek up of anything on here it don’t matter one jot, financial matters are a different storyGot to laugh at the comments on this post. Don’t want to use a computer to do the books as too complicated but yet are happy to use a similar device be that phone or computer to go on here.
Big difference between having a nosey in here and discovering the internet is slow or non existent to when you've made time to pay bills/ do the books and it's not working. How do you pay bills when a tree takes the line out and isn't repaired for 2 week'sGot to laugh at the comments on this post. Did you apply online? My recent ones came back in under a week.I'm not, applied for a vat number 9 months ago still not got it, currently edging ever closer to £20,000 owed in vat
Not without hassle . I just find it easier not to be reliant on itThe internet is available in all sorts of different ways.
At least you'll have a nice low carbon footprint, ahead of the curve againYeah exactly. That's why I use a horse for transport, heat my cave with driftwood and clothe myself with animal skins.
Freedom of choice really, it’s there for those who want to use it, it certainly suits some but not all.Not without hassle . I just find it easier not to be reliant on it
Applied for one last week got it within a couple of days. Just got to get it into Xero now to be able to do the return.Ahh so a little white lie on my part there, I actually submitted it to my accountant 9 months ago, he never bothered to submit it but didn't tell us and kept lying to me when I rang and asked him, so I submitted it myself 3 months ago but got told it would take a minimum of 4 months so just a waiting game I'm hoping
They cash them using the camera on their phone via their bank app, why wouldn't they.Normally the same companies that won’t take a cheque for various reasons. Yet when you send one it’s cashed less than 3 days later on a second class stamp.
Is that a new VAT number or a transfer? Transfer doesn't have the online application option and is awfully slow at the moment, 9 months wouldn't surprise me, new one should be quicker.I'm not, applied for a vat number 9 months ago still not got it, currently edging ever closer to £20,000 owed in vat
Each to their own. Personally I tell any company that wants to email me their invoices that they should maybe think again if they want me to actually pay them. Their choice. Remarkably they without fail stick them in the post. How many people have gone completely paperless? Got a few occasional suppliers with email invoices but just received one off feed company who spend 200k+ with a year, considering just had £17/t increase i dont see why i should become their secretary as well, we use xero but accountant still wants paper invoices.
We scan all paper invoices and download a copy of emailed invoices to Windows, save to cloud and back up with another cheap computer just in case. Use Xero as many have stated but find digital copies are easy to find in normal Windows files.I tried to move away from Xero after two years, but didn't In the end.
If I had of, I would have lost access to all my digital copies of invoices without re subscribing. The data is still there but no access to it.
I now keep a paper copy of invoices as well so if I do move I still have copies.
