We have to carrier our ground nesting bird plots twice a year, did it today as it happens. The first pass just scruffs it up a bit, but the second pass really cuts it up well.

What's the reason to carrier them?

If it's anything like here then he probably has. Only had 2mm yesterday. Jacob put liquid fert on today and hadn't even got the sprayer wheels dirty. He said even the normal wet holes traveled OK.

not exactly sure, they were signed up for before I was involved. Probably controlling annual weeds

Not looking to graze (in fact not allowed). Just need to find a reliable baling contractor!

Would you expect to pellet even if straw is removed?

I put 2 fields of AB15 into SB last autumn. Shallow disked, sprayed, then direct disc drill. Then rolled and slug pelleted. This ryegrass seed mix is totally prescribed and is v expensive, or so I thought - at 130ish/ha. So you cant take risks with it being destroyed by slugs. Has come pretty evenly despite being pretty strong.
Did much the same operations with the AB8 and AB9
