Ended my association with FA this month, time will tell if it was a good idea or not. Nice to save some money, if i only sell store cattle which will need atleast 4 months further finishing will i even need a VAN number?

Booked in for our inspection next week:

Is there anything new?

Anything that inspectors seem to be hot on this time round?
give them a simple non conformance they can pick you up on, it keeps them happy and stops them looking further, I take the no smoking sign off the chem store and remove the fire extinguisher, then a day or so later when I've been failed I put the sign back up, return the fire extinguisher take 2 photos and email them to the tossers.

But had you had a clean slate to begin with then they might leave you alone for 18 months.

you rely on cats for vermin control, make sure you write the dates you spied on them and checked they are working!...no I have no idea either
Its either cats or poison here, so its allways been cats and plenty of. The only question is "when do you worm them ?"
"they re semi ferral, live and breed here" and thats was the end to that interigation for one year, to be repeated every year

I refuse to get involved so use an agent to do mine. The last one he ticked every single ridiculous box. The inspector actually said ‘I have to find something wrong’ so I wouldn’t count on a clean slate being useful

Go through the spray store and check that pesticide MAPP number approvals are still in date on the HSE website.
If you use untreated urea make sure you applied it all before the end of March. They’ll be looking at that this year.
