This could happen to any of us..
Ok some of us are more firey than others. But if this farmer was in the situation of these scum causing damage, and refusing to move on, and being on his own. What was he meant to do? If this goes to court ,we need as farmer's, landowners, decent working people to raise a fighting fund and make sure we, yes we win this case if it comes to that. Rural crime is getting out of control, and we need to make it clear that these scum might get very badly hurt by us defending our lives, family and property.
best reply to this thread ! Set up a go fund me page should it happen

Clearly the farmer in question was pushed past breaking point but a pair of clowns and I have every sympathy. However regards the above post on firearms, I would actually be surprised for an armed response team not to have already come knocking on the door and taken custody of any weapons held by the farmer. It is fairly routine procedure when when a license holder is involved in a serious police investigation, both for the protection of the defendant, the protection of others but mostly for public reputation of the firearms licensing team! The clown falling to the ground after contact with the machine greatly raised the offence from willful destruction of property to potentially dangerous driving and endangerment of life. I just hope it all goes well for the farmer in the end.

pushing some morons car out of the way and wafting shotguns in peoples faces are entirely different situations and it is not realistic or sensible on so many levels to compare the two.

Of course they are very different things, but when an "offenders" name is put into the police computer system one of the first things it will show is if the offender has a gun license. Once flagged up that a license holder is under investigation, somewhere some officer has to make a decision on whether to suspend their license or not. The officer making that call will almost certainly not has been to the scene or spoken to the "offender". The officer will have to make a decision based on little more than vague reports of a license holder in an agitated state using an industrial machine to intentionally destroy another vehicle and striking someone with the vehicle too. Regardless how unlikely it is that guns will become involved it is far easier for the officer with that responsibility to simply deploy a firearms unit, remove the weapons pending investigation and avoid the risk of facing their own disciplinary investigation should things happen to go bad!
