Surely it would have to be a Direct Drilling match for fear of offending non ploughersCount me in!
Just checking:
Have you spoken with @Clive about the idea of a Ploughing Match?
Or did the idea of a Band and Beer seduce him?

There is zero chance the a farmer protest being taken notice of by the public at the moment I would suggest.
Just need to have a zoom pish up on here.I think you are missing the point of my intent here. Its more about the beer than the "protest".
Just need to have a zoom pish up on here.
Have you tired to do that? you end up with everyone talking over each other then the original organizer getting so annoyed they mute everyone... I'll send out the invite now!Just need to have a zoom pish up on here.
It’s bad enough in our local community council meeting on Zoom.Have you tired to do that? you end up with everyone talking over each other then the original organizer getting so annoyed they mute everyone... I'll send out the invite now!
Ah!! the Norfolk 4 course,I remember it well. The current Marquis Townshend is also a Charles.I want to tear down a statue to Charles Townshend... for cruelty to turnips (& and Ag students having to learn about four course rather than monoculture)
I was ebaying during the parish council one? It’s bad enough in our local community council meeting on Zoom.
The last meeting I had our two iPads, one on the meeting and I managed to spend most of it catching up on TFF.
As you can guess the meeting was a bit boring.
Little to nothing when we all went up to London for The Countryside Alliance March was reported. We dropped no litter & no damage to properties, and no vandalism.Even though we were close of 500,000 people. There is zero chance the a farmer protest being taken notice of by the public at the moment I would suggest.

Its when you have to erm er.. adjust (turn off) your camera settings to have a swig of wine during a parish council meeting.....I was ebaying during the parish council one?
I hope you were in present mode at the time ?I was ebaying during the parish council one?
Think you’ve just alienated all the remain votersYou see - I think my idea to go and drink in a field it is a winner. Sponsored by that Weatherspoons man for cheap beer.
I would disagree there. It has engaged with many of the UK public who would not have been aware of this in the past. I think its been a great idea from Jamie and the NFU. And its got coverage and its cheap advertising for UK production.
For this to work to successfully may I suggest that BASF, Bayer, Syngenta et al could send me a few Crates of something suitable and I’ll drink it in the Virtual beer tent ??There is a Cereals Beer Tent on Wednesday. Not sure how it work, but have offered to be involved so will find out shortly. Guess it's BYO.
I am thinking a Farming Protest should be organised at a farm based on the new Agriculture bill and the fact that Jamie Oliver and NFU have done a great job getting nearly a million signatures for food standards.
We could also have beer, a band and a ploughing match. Just an idea
@Guy Smith could give a speech! (free beer for speakers)
