Any one know the height a 8 wheeler would need to tip feed in a mono pitch shed? Would it need to be tipped all the way... would you get away with 6m?

Often worried can a walking floor discharge straights / grain ?
We’ve had sawdust on a walking floor so can’t see why not although I’ve never heard of it done.
All the feed firms seem to run tippers/blowers so presumably would need an outside haulier . The probability of a walking floor being a more expensive trailer to buy along with the fact the feed firms may not be currently dealing with any companies with walking floors on the fleet would almost certainly result in a higher haulage cost.
There would certainly be advantages in being able to store feed in a lower conventional roofed shed though

We have loaded barley into a walking floor trailer a few times in the past. The main issue is the sides are generally much higher than a " normal" grain trailer, plus they are a good few feet longer. It only just fitted under our bins out loading pipe, however being a longer taller trailer meant the grain was just heaped near the middle and never got anywhere near the tail gate, just formed a big triangular wedge mid trailer. We didn't sort haulage and wouldn't be my first choice again. Should add was going to a farm, not sure how many feed mills could cope with it unloading...no chute or sock, just walked out over the back.
