anyone on here feeding sugar beet to cattlw or sheep ? anyone know or have a rough Idea of the value of it ? It seems pretty cheap compared to fodder beet this year
With cattle be careful if your feeding wheat or barley with it. It will need to be chopped or you won’t get the intakes, the higher sugar content than fodder beet means too much corn mixed in and they will be toes up. I used a lot until they closed the nearby factory, just mixed it with Trafford gold fattened bullocks a treatanyone on here feeding sugar beet to cattlw or sheep ? anyone know or have a rough Idea of the value of it ? If fodder beet is £30, sugar beet is worth £35. Bear in mind though it has a much lower protein content so will need more balancing with RDPanyone on here feeding sugar beet to cattlw or sheep ? anyone know or have a rough Idea of the value of it ?
