I've been using some flimsy paddle switches for auger/chain-disc feeding systems on the farm (pig fattening), but they're being awkward. They look like this:
They stick and fail, get smashed by power washers and are pricey. I've had to replace quite a few of them. I do some electronics, so as a solution I've bought some parts and made
a more sturdy kind of switch for the farm:
I've built it to clamp around the end of the feeding down pipe, at the last feeder. This is way easier and less temperamental than having it up in the top box, quick to install and adjust. It's nice and heavy too, to stop it turning off the system with the pigs knocking against the feeder, or from the motor jerking.
Would anyone be interested in a product like this?
