Currently running a Novatel receiver and N Trip RTK on a gen 6 724. I I do get issues with the mobile signal dropping out, on one block of land in particular. At the same time the phone signal there has got to a point where it is often difficult to call. With the 3g signal being turned off I wonder if I will get more issues. My RTK subscription is coming to an end and the dealer is suggesting I try the Terrastar signal with the same accuracy.

Has anybody else made the change and were there any problems?

Our local fendt dealer was offering a service exchange 4g modem for the 3g. Sounded a cheap upgrade at the time think it was less than £1000.
According andyinv if it defaults to 2g it should still work absolutely fine.

My modem is good for 4g, I was just wondering if any had experience with Terrastar. There is a lack of phone signal in this area, much of it to do with my military neighbours and I think not relying on a phone signal may be a good thing. Going to start a demo period next week, if the accuracy is as good I will probably stick to it. I dont need to change any hardware.
