It’s a nice simple system to use and more importantly reliable. It won’t need constant updates like FJD where you have to request them from dealer who then in turn has to request with the FJD tech team.I've also bought CHCNAV, got it and fitted it to non steer ready 2014 Fendt 724 SCR.
Wiring loom just long enough, put receiver in sunroof dome.
Anti rotation bracket worked out nice & tidy.
You can feel the magnets in the steering motor, makes the steering feel a bit lumpy
Have to lean how to use it now
That sounds familiarIt’s a nice simple system to use and more importantly reliable. It won’t need constant updates like FJD where you have to request them from dealer who then in turn has to request with the FJD tech team.
For it then to fail half way through and knock out a part like the IMU
Double check your steering motor doesn’t have any kind of sideways pull on it from the clamp. It shouldn’t be lumpy! Enjoy using it
This does seem a strange policy to me, why FJD won't allow direct access to the Tech team as was the case initially? It’s a nice simple system to use and more importantly reliable. I guess eventually they will try to mirror the Western manufacturers like Trimble etc., everything through dealer network, protected with revenue creation through the whole system. This does seem a strange policy to me, why FJD won't allow direct access to the Tech team as was the case initially?
Fair enough that they do not push Updates automatically, but it would be nice to have the option to click and accept and Update... I did suggest this when I was asked for feedback yonks ago.
I hope not.I guess eventually they will try to mirror the Western manufacturers like Trimble etc., everything through dealer network, protected with revenue creation through the whole system.
Want an update, speak to dealer £££.
They started off at circa £3.5k? Now are £5-6k with unlocks for U turn?I hope not.
It is/was the USP of these units in my view. But plenty of free market competition about, 2 other Chinese systems, Fieldbee in Europe, so hopefully they will not go the Trimble route...
True.... deffo creeping up. All the charges for the little "extras" is an annoyance...They started off at circa £3.5k? Now are £5-6k with unlocks for U turn?
Yes this is true! Reliability will let them down though by releasing updates before they have all the bugs ironed outThey started off at circa £3.5k? Now are £5-6k with unlocks for U turn?
Cracking job on the inter row drilling....
Message the Mothership if no joy locally? I seem to recall that this was still available according to one of the FJD team.
I hope to go to Saltex at teh NEC tomorrow, and see the sales team there....
Will do. Hopefully, there might be a few UK sales folks there...If you do go, perhaps you could enquire as to who the person is to contact regarding product support in the south east? Thanks!
