Financial Sustainability of Dairy Beef Production in the UK

As a final year undergraduate at Harper Adams, I'm currently completing my Honors Research Project about the sustainability of dairy beef production in the UK.

I would like to understand the factors that influence both the overall sustainability of this sector and its financial viability.

The majority of the data will be collected through this questionnaire, in which i require the responses from UK beef farmers who have experience with dairy-bred beef cattle or are considering incorporating them into their business.

The survey should not take long to complete, if you could spare the time, it would be a massive help.

Thank you!

Thanks for your question, the questionnaire is looking at which factors can effect the financial sustainability of dairy-beef enterprise.
Hope this helps.

Question 28 is a ranking question from 1-6,
(1 = lowest impact on profitability) and (6 = greatest impact on profitability).

Each of the 6 factors listed (e.g fixed cost or purchase price of animal) must be assigned to a different ranking number based on your opinion on there influence to profitability.

Hopefully this helps.

Done 👍 bit restrictive in terms of being able to answer but you have to draw a line sonewhere, we sell steers and heifers at a range of ages but couldn't select both for one range
