I am working for FJDynamics as their Precision Agriculture Specialist for the UK market. If you have any questions about the FJD auto steering system please let me know... I am happy to help!
Hi

Not to hijack the thread, but would you mind casting an eye over this one please? Am curious to see if I can find out why the GPS messages that were working on the FJD weren't when I started casting them myself - and the message set that is working doesn't appear to be particularly similar to them? https://thefarmingforum.co.uk/index...ot-working-with-fjdynamics-or-trimble.375045/

I’m sure you’ve been asked before, but the ability to Auto steer the headland track would very helpful, creating tracks inside the boundary would be icing on the cake.

Wanted another camera on the drill to keep an eye on the metering so bought the FJD WiFi camera through @ERH Services Ltd and it's pretty nicely integrated into the screen, good quality picture, not too much of a faff to set up. Pleased. Got three cameras ( 2 non FJD) running off one 12v plug now.

Thanks for that. I was given 2 cameras when my Autosteer system arrived and still not put it on! Meant to fit it for harvest work, but just forgot!

Will be fitted for drilling next Spring ;)

Unfortunatelly, many FJD users complain about loosing rtk signal and taking long time to get it back. FJD has only strong marketing. One farmer complained that he had changed 2 displays in less than 6 months. I am affraid that build quality is bad.
Check CHC or AllyNav. They are more quality and have stable work.

Nothing wrong with the hardware build quality. It’s excellent.

Who’s supplying the signal to these people having problems ? Same company?
Having had 3 years of nothing but trouble from CHC I struggle to believe they’re any better than FJD. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Who does SinisaB work for ? 🤔

You have to ask it for others at the thread too, although obvious for EHR Services.

Just like for almost any discussion at the forum, one needs to take into account many views and comments. Not many members are able to provide unbiased views backed up with deep experience. Farmers tend to promote their "colour" and often have too limited experience, if none, about competing products. Sales people obviously promote their products (bias varying from very mild to very strong).

All I can say is that the system I bought (before EHR were dealers)has performed well and for the price bracket it is in - I am more than satisfied - mobile phone signal is the only problem we encounter- there can be black spots on certain fields or farms - picks up rtk quicker than my claas system !!🙂

FJD tried govermant, JD, CNH base station signal and result is the same. If you do not pay attention, tractor goes on it own direction.
I work for Case dealer. Mostly with Trimble equipment, little less with AFS autopilots. Soon Raven.
Why?
It is my job to track low cost navigations. Mostly, I am on a field and speak with farmers. Here, I just write their experiances.

Do you have double or single antenna from CHC?
Their double-antenna sistem was not so good. On the other side, single antenna solution seems to be very good product. Works really good.

Out of interest: do the dual antenna systems have a backup IMU for heading if/when RTK accuracy is lost (temporarily)?

What is the AgLeader screen for? Just for additional display area for autosteer and implement control separately or is it for a task that cannot be handled with a single FJD screen?

Would be nice to see some photos showing accuracy on contour lines. Even a simple EGNOS system can do perfect straight lines.
