Flail Topper Recommendations

Orsi and Vigolo are very good. Well priced and tough machines. I currently have a cabe. They are specifically designed for pulverising orchards. They’re a different level of flail. 10mm top, 12mm sides. 250mm rotor. Complete animal.

To be fair most of these flails come out of Italy are are very well made.
My mate sells del morino machines and whilst they’re not mega heavy monster things they are very adequate for general grass cutting duties at a fraction the cost of the big names. They do make a big beast which looks an absolute animal with mulching insert bits

Ok so ended up with the spearhead xrhd 280, just spent a few hours cutting heavy rush this morning and first impressions are good. Early days I know but looking forward to getting a few of the rougher bits tidied up over the next few weeks.

Thanks for the help folks!

Have the slightly wider one, it’s the only make we haven’t killed in 2 seasons, this one has lasted 5 so far. Rotor was balanced by Votex last week.

We got an 2.6m MDL powerup executioner in the summer. Think it was £4500

Happy with it so far. Heavy built and half the price of a Kuhn or mashio. Doesn’t matter which one you get if u hit a big stone there all buggered!

No idea. The gearboxes do look exactly the same as the ones on a Kuhn tho. Flails are £10 a piece so not the end of the world when you knock one off. I really wanted a 2.8 but they were sold out. 3m ones are just too big for getting through gateways. Have shredded gorse bushes with it no problem.
