As above how many flakes per bale are people trying to get on a 2.4 m straw bale .

I aim for 30 too. You'll be able to go much quicker at 30 per able!new Holland Bb9080 here and it usually works round about 45 -50 according to the counter on the screen , is that to high if most of you are say 30 ?

Was speaking to big bale mechanic last week and he said a lot of farmers up here have bought knackered ones thinking they'll save a lot not paying a contractor.
Many of them need a lot of money spent on them with knackered crank bearings etc.
Do you run any?
Yeah they're getting more and more common, I think the amount of straw that gets sold out of Aberdeenshire now has upped they're popularity , hauliers seem to prefer them.Must be a lot of 120x90s up here now
