Because unless it affects members of staff or it's a slow news day, what happens in most of the country is of no interest to them.

But to be fair, national news should only feature items of national importance.

Our we is struggling to produce enough water for the cattle last couple of weeks even with them still out and access to a brook.
It usually struggles in the autumn, down to the point of producing virtually nothing on a dry year , I’m just surprised it’s struggling this year

More interested in covering other stories in the world ,just like stirmer, seems to be far more interested in helping other countries and their people than us and our rapidly declining UK ?

Of course they are not.!! That would put pressure on the EA. See Wardys Waffle released last night. They have not repaired some of the breaches that occured last winter. Apparentlly they can not afford to repair them. EA is not fit for purpose and we need the old River Authority back and we need to DREDGE the main water courses. It is not rocket science. Sir Josheph Banks helped drain a lot of the Lincolnshire Fens in his time and will be turning in his grave.

Not in the UK, but did anyone see the report about flooding in Florida where a man's EV was submerged by tidal water , caught fire then burned his house down ? Can't see the BBC covering that one.
