Advice is to only look at the news at set times.

Keep busy, I know we are doing that anyway.

Any financial issue raise with banks or people you owe money, they will understand.

Block those that are making you blood pressure rise, are spouting rubbish or posting misinformation either on here or other social media platforms

I’ve always thought this forum brings out the best and the worst of people.

What it does best is share information that is useful as we set about the task of running farm business both in normal times and in difficult times be it the challenge of drought, flood, beasts from the east, poor prices, animal disease outbreaks - what we are experiencing now is undoubtedly a more demanding challenge so we all need to step up to think how best we can help others through this forum.

The other really positive thing this forum does is show good humour, make people laugh, keep spirits up, keep problems in perspective and help people overcome anxieties.

So let’s bring out the best of this forum at this time.

Is it highly infectious? No, actually it is not.
Should you act like you've got it? Yes

If everyone did the precautions - gloves in supermarket, 2m away, washing hands, keep to family groups etc it will be gone in 3-4 weeks. Its got nowhere to jump to.

There are times when you need to just look after yourself. If other people want to get infected now then thats up to them. We've been given all the info.

I've pretty much stopped watching the news .. saw a chap outside a closed up Sports Direct shop this morning .. the same presenter said he was a "key worker" ? .. regardless he didn't need to stand outside an empty shop.

Totally agree. With the load of exposure Im not surprised doctors were getting it.

But heres a flipside - there are many thousands who have been on a plane, air hostesses who have done hundreds of trips, people who took the bus/tube /train etc who havent contracted it as well. Im not making light of it by the way.

I can tell you for a fact that there are Doctors & Nurses on wards with Covid patients with no training in how to put the full PPE on or remove it properly.

several friendly pm’s between myself and @Sid today, much as we enjoy lively debate and often have a difference of opinions it is also fair to say we both care a lot about this industry and other farmers
