With the amount of dry days in Wales the last two seasons... It could never do enough hours to pay the finance and the tractor costs

you would be around 115 plus fuel round here

which would make it completely uncompetitive vs a forager and gang

£135 here but long hauls make it uncompetetive compared to a forage harvester team.

I don't know how any of this new kit pays. Tractor at 150k wagon near 100k. I'd have a fraction of that in this outfit, we're only doing our own grass and a bit for neighbours
