Ford 7810 Main (engine) wiring loom

Why do you need a new loom if you intend to use the tractor then make a new loom yes it will take time, patience and a lot of hard looking for correct colour wires as for the multi-pin connectors do away with them as they can cause a lot of problems the only reason Fords used them was when splitting the engine it was quicker but it will only take about another 30min to remove connections from components anyway, just take plenty of photo's and make note of where loom run's and what colours go where. scrapyards could be a source of colour wires needed again make note of make and model of car so you can get the same again.

I just have no time to make my own atm. surprised there aren't any aftermarket looms made, i can't be the only one with a 32 year old ford with brittle wiring.

You could try this crowd in Ireland:

They make wiring looms for older tractors, but I think they made one for a New Holland 8560 that had burnt out the wiring.

Not tractor based but possibly relevant.
I went to the work-shop where Jensen Interceptors were rebuilt. An interesting look-see!
They had several 8x4 sheets on the walls with part finished wiring looms and notes/ part numbers of each plug/socket required.
These boards made sense of what looks much more complicated when in situ.
If this was my tractor I’d have the damaged loom out PDQ and onto an 8x4 board and make two new copies.
This isn’t rocket science and I’d put money on you’ll be able to purchase all the correct connectors and coloured wiring of the relevant size to do this task.

The second loom will pay for your time.

Do you own a 614? I had one for many years fitted with a Boughton winch 😁
And rebuilt the steering🤪🤣

What i would give to own a Jensen Intercepter ff!
I had a loom made for a car of mine years ago and that was exactly how they made it.
I have a second 7810 working atm so could give the shagged loom to someone to copy.
I have a 614 and a 275 which were my fathers and use them when we have sunny days:ROFLMAO:

I wouldn't buy a 30+ year old loom unless nos.
Tried tractor electrics ie but not got back.
Looks like i'll have to make my own. Does anyone know of a supplier for the connectors?
