+1 on the Load Monitor comment.
We didn't have anything with it on until we got a 7700 and by then the long, multi furrow conventional ploughs had been replaced by reversibles. We still found it good for ploughing though - especially on lighter land where top link sensing was not as sensitive.
Always thought the Dual Power/Load Monitor decal looked smart too..

My 7000 only has load monitor, it would have been nice to have had DP too.... That reminds me, I must get on and get it restored..

I often wish we;d kept this 5000....

There's three 5000's here in our yard... Must have had the 7000 going on 20 years now, my wife bought it one day at a sale.

Looks a very nice tractor. I'm trying to work out how old it was... Would I be right in guessing it's a 1974/5 model?

Spot on - it was 1974. It was the only 4 cyl Ford that we had that had a CAV rotary fuel pump. It wasn't a great starter in the winter.

Yes but these don't. One is blank and other says DM2 or sonething. Supposed to be for a supplying dealer back in the day.
