The point is, it ALL has obsolescence and pretending that we are going to just lock up carbon just heaps the responsibility onto our descendants.

We are dooomed!:sorry:
Well yeah, but replacing plastics with wood keeps carbon in the ground and sequesters carbon temporarily.

How is that locking up the carbon we have put into the atmosphere from consuming/burning coal and oil for fuel for hundreds of years? Unless we can replace the coal and oil with the CO2, we're buggered, aren't we?
Where was all this carbon before it turned into coal and oil? And did the thriving plant life that went on to form the coal and oil destroy themselves by using up too much of the CO2 they needed to thrive?
Maybe what goes around comes around. :)
