Got a few bulls about, just wondering what others fed, and if anyone has ever fed Maize silage in a ration and what else?
Currently feeding;
61.5% rolled barley
20% sugar beet nuts
10% maize distillers
6% molasses
2.5% GP minerals
Am I over thinking it?
Thanks!
Is that a blend or home-made?
You either are paying a lot of money for it or making a lot of work out of it.
Are you buying in or have you got some of the components on farm.
Keep it simple, rolled barley, soya meal, gp minerals and limestone flour. Straw in ring feeders and away you go
Yes, use 50:50 SBP:distillers. 3 ton of each from local mill in the trailer together. Tip it out and mix with bucket as I push in corner of shed.I would half the sugar beet to 10%, replace with more barley and up the distillers to 15%. I think you will see an improvement
